Vartman was born in Australia, trained as an economist and worked as a business man / management consultant until the calling to live a life in service to Truth became unstoppable.

"Looking back I see that everything that I did was out of fear of missing out on something. By the age of 26 I had lived, traveled, or explored almost every experience that attracted me. Pretty soon I was running out of things to experience... Whether it was foreign countries, owning houses and cars, or through relationship... I realized that nothing was going to fulfill this emptiness.

I can only say that through Grace I realized that I was on the wrong train... the "Train of seeking experiences".

My spiritual search had lead me to a point of sheer frustration…always searching for a big bang… only to find a flatness in response to the question "Who am I ?"

Gangaji then said to me "If this is all there is, are you willing to be flat for the rest of your life?"

I said "Sure" (lying).

18 Months later, in Poona (India), amidst the struggle of searching for blissful states, my friend True friend Dolano repeated the same message… "You are simply addicted to states…are you willing to risk EVERYTHING that this is all there is?"

What can you trust when the mind is not capable of understanding the Truth of who You are? A point was reached that I could not continue to deny my direct experience any longer…I could no longer pretend that I was who I imagined myself to be... a moment of total abandon of all strategies ... everything.

The rope was cut of continually serving the god of "me"…

The deep realization that the only thing left to do was to surrender everything to the Truth that was revealed in glorious defeat.
